Jennifer has 20 plus years of experience in the healthcare industry. Ten years working with neonates, pediatrics, and adult trauma Intensive Care Units before returning to complete her anesthesia degree from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 2013. Since then, she has practiced Anesthesiology in Level-One Trauma Hospitals, Rural/Community Hospitals, as well as multiple Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Office-Based Practices. After years of working among multiple different settings, she realized there was an unmet need for effective treatment for patients with mental health, mood disorders and chronic pain.
For the last several years Jennifer has been hearing, reading and researching how the anesthetic ketamine is helping people not only with pain, which is its primary use in the anesthesia world within hospital and surgery centers, but also, with treatment resistant depression and multiple mood disorders that has shown encouraging results. Having had friends and family members who suffered from depression, and knowing rates of depression and anxiety in the US are rising, she saw an opportunity to use her training in anesthesia in a new, impactful way.
“It is exciting to see how ketamine is helping so many with depression to memory loss and pain syndromes. I have always had a passion to help people, care for people and bring hope to those who are sick. This is an astonishing new breakthrough in medicine that I have the opportunity to provide in my community.”
The mission of 865 Wellness+Ketamine is to bring hope and relief to patients and families alike to live a happier flourishing life.
